FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, 8vo, pp. 70. Original dark orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt, dustjacket printed in red and black. Dustjacket just a little soiled. Inscribed to flyleaf: ‘with respect and thanks to Robin and Priscilla. Roddy McMillan, 29/6/74’, blank Southside compliments slip loosely inserted.

Notes

The scarcer boards issue of the first edition of this Glasgow-set drama. This copy is inscribed to its publisher Robin Lorimer and his wife Priscilla by McMillan. Lorimer set up his own imprint Southside in 1973 after more than a decade in the editorial department of Oliver and Boyd.
