8vo, pp. [viii], 390, [2], 16 (ads) + frontispiece and 7 other plates. Frequent illustrations within the text. Original blue cloth, spine and front board blocked in gilt, edges gilt. Somewhat soiled, a piece torn from bottom corner of flyleaf and half-title. Spine darkened and cocked, extremities rubbed. Ownership stamp of R.H. Moncrieff to half-title.
