A scarce magic book, probably an attempt to capitalise on the success of 'Professor' Hoffman's successful series of manuals for magicians that had begun in 1876. As well as card and coin magic, sleight-of-hand and the cups and balls, it contains a section of Mesmerism, and a chapter on 'tricks with electricity'. Library Hub records just two copies, both in London, at Senate House and BL, as well as a smattering of holdings (3 and 1, respectively) of Kunard's 'Book of Modern Conjuring' and 'Book of Card Tricks' which may (based on their pagination) be separate issues of the two parts of this text.
