FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. ix, [i], 230. Original black boards, spine lettered direct in gilt, cream dustjacket printed in black and green. Dustjacket a touch discoloured, particularly to spine panel, spine gilding a little tarnished. Folded TLS from editor loosely inserted.

Notes

This attractive copy of Graves' collection of lectures has inserted a typed letter dated 30th August 1955 from Kenneth Parker, his editor at Cassell, advising that the volume would be published on September 22nd and describing it as 'a feast for any Graves follower'.
