8vo, pp. vi, 633, [1]. Contemporary half red calf, marbled boards, dark green morroco label to spine, lettered in gilt, other compartments elaborately decorated in gilt, marbled edges and endpapers. A little spotting. Binding slightly rubbed and a touch worn to extremities. Ink ownership inscription of R. Parry, dated 1886, to title-page.

Notes

The fourth edition of the third book in Anthony Trollope's 'Palliser' series of novels, first published serially in the Fortnightly Review from 1871-1873. Trollope noted that Wilkie Collins' novel 'The Moonstone' served as an inspiration.
