12mo, pp. [ii], 172, 6. Original wallet binding of black morocco, edges gilt. Rubbed, a little insect damage to fold of wallet flap. Ownership inscription of James Mitchell of Auchinleck, diary and ledger sections extensively filled in in his hand, scrap of pink blotting paper to rear pocket.

Notes

A scarce Glasgow-printed business diary and almanac, extensively used by a James Mitchell of Auchinleck, until the end of October, when entries abruptly cease. The NLS holds a number of examples of Lumsden almanacs from earlier in the century, with their latest being 1831, while Strathclyde hold an example from 1838.
