The scarcer deluxe gilt boards issue - more usually found in stiff wrappers with a colour illustration - of the first edition of 24 views of Edinburgh in striking Art Nouveau style by Glasgow artist and designer Jessie M. King (1875-1949), accompanied by facing-page descriptive text; a companion volume on Glasgow, 'The City of The West,' was issued the following year.
