FIRST EDITION, folio, pp. 128, [4, subscribers list] + lithograph frontispiece, folding map, and 18 tinted lithograph plates. Original pale green cloth, boards and spine elaborately blocked in blind, central gilt crest to front board, spine lettered in gilt. Some spotting and foxing. Binding dustsoiled and marked, chips to spine ends.

Notes

A collection of lithographs based on amateur drawings by David Henderson Robertson, accompanied by a brief history of Leith and the surrounding area. Sketched over time 'at leisure', the drawings were gathered for publication 'as the original sculptures passed into oblivion'.
