A complete set of the Scottish Text Society's edition of the complete works of Allan Ramsay, originally conceived in four volumes but growing to six over a thirty-year period. The first two volumes are edited by Burns Martin and John W. Oliver; following their deaths in 1957 Alexander Kinghorn and Alexander Law assumed editorial duties. It was the first attempt to present the entirety of Ramsay's works in a scholarly manner and remained the only one until Edinburgh University press began their still-ongoing series in 2022; complete sets are scarce in trade.
