Notes

The first edition of this book about his Thamesside cottage by engraver and erstwhile proprietor of the Golden Cockerel press Robert Gibbings (1889-1958), illustrated throughout with his own woodcuts. This copy retains a promotional belly band, proclaiming it a 'Book Society Recommendation'.
