Description

Small broadside (204 x 252 mm). A touch toned to edges.

Notes

A rare printing of a poem by MacDiarmid reflecting on a verse from psalm 106 ('And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into to their soul'), written for the Citizen Theatre's production of the Bertholt Brecht play Der gute Mensch von Sezuan. It was issued with the programme of the 1962 production and is institutionally scarce, with Library Hub and Worldcat recording NLS only; The University of South Carolina also holds a copy.
