Notes

The eighth printing of Ulysses, and the first to be reset incorporating the corrections that formerly were in an errata to the rear - therefore what could be called the first printing of the second edition. Joyce's novel, a cornerstone of Modernism, was first published in February 1922 and was reprinted for Shakespeare and Company ten times between then and 1930.
This copy belonged to Professor Eudo Mason, for many years chair of German at Edinburgh University.
