4to, pp. 10. Extracted from a volume. The leaves largely detached, outer leaves soiled.

Notes

John Lawson was one of a number of supposedly fictitious voters in Elgin and Forres during the election of 1784, in which Alexander Penrose-Cumming was defeated by James Duff, Earl of Fife. This petition, unknown to ESTC, is his response to the charges, inviting the case to go ahead.
