Notes
A petition against William Scot, over the purchase of a drove of cattle, supplied at a lower quality than agreed. Alexander Dunbar of Machrimore refused to pay the bill and here seeks confirmation that it was the other party who breached the agreement first. ESTC records the answer submitted by Scot and his agent (N471460, NLS only) but has no record of the petition itself.
