Notes

An attractive set of The Temple Shakespeare, edited by Israel Gollancz, in the deluxe binding of red morocco instead of the more usual cloth. The series was first printed between 1894-6, and was superseded in 1934 by The New Temple Shakespeare, with new illustrations by Eric Gill. More than half (25 of 40) of the volumes in this set are from 1919, with 9 further volumes printed in 1922, two are earlier (Henry VI pt 2, 1913, and Antony and Cleopatra, 1916), and the rest are 1920; full details and pagination are available on request.
