FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. xvi, 200. Contemporary calf, boards bordered with a double gilt rule. A bit of light toning and soiling. Rubbed, extremities a touch worn, label lost from spine. Ownership inscriptions of Hamish Miles (20th-century) and Sarah Wortheston (contemporary) to flyleaf.

Notes

The first work of the Irish-born critic Daniel Webb (c.1719-1798), which saw some success including translations into German and French.
