The sixth reprint of Andrew Lang's (1844-1912) translation of this medieval French tale, first published in 1887. The publisher notes that the quick succession of printing was 'in response to many and repeated demands, at such a price as will make it accessible to all'. Originally in wrappers, the binding here imitates those of the Kelmscott Press.
