Original cream cloth boards, spine and boards lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. A touch of spotting. A few light marks to bindings. Gift inscription dated 1927 to initial blank.

Notes

A beautiful collection of 300 life-size botanical watercolour illustrations of British flora by botanical artist, Ida Southwell Perrin (1861-1953). The text details each plant's history and taxonomy, and was composed by botanist George Simonds Boulger (1853-1922), professor of Natural History and the Kew Gardens Correspondent for the Times.
