FIRST EDITION, NO. 328 OF 400 COPIES, 4to, pp. [viii], 29, [3] + drawing reproduced on translucent Japanese paper, bound in. Original quarter blue buckram, handmade Japanese paper boards, dark brown buckram slipcase. Just a touch rubbed to extremities.

Notes

The first appearance of these twenty-three poems and drawing by Sylvia Plath. Published posthumously by Rainbow Press, which Ted Hughes and his sister Olwyn founded in 1971, each poem is dated to its year of composition, ranging from 1950-1961. Of the 400 copies printed, the first 20 were bound in full vellum, 80 in full Cape Goat Leather, and the remaining 300 in quarter buckram with handmade Japanese paper boards like this one.
