Description

SOLE EDITION, 8vo, pp. vi, [ii], 296. Contemporary sheep-backed marbled boards, spine lettered in gilt between gilt tools. Poor-quality paper toned and foxed. Binding rubbed and worn at extremities, front joint cracking but sound, half of front flyleaf torn away. Portion of a (prize?) inscription on remains of flyleaf, dated 1842.

Notes

A very rare German schoolbook for students of English, containing an English-language selective abridgement from Hume's History of England, followed by almost 75 pages of English-German vocabulary. It is entirely unknown to Library Hub, while OCLC shows a listing for the edition but no holdings.
