NO. 17 OF 100 COPIES SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, single sheet of yellow card (290 x230mm) folded in half to make 4 pages. Just a touch of spotting, some light creases to corners. Signed by MacDiarmid to the third page.

Notes

The 'Blue Moon Poem for Christmas 1931', per the final page, issued by radical bookseller and publisher Charles Lahr's short-lived Blue Moon Press, issued from The Progressive Bookshop in London. The text is four stanzas taken from MacDiarmid's 1926 poem 'A Drunk Man Looks at The Thistle', and the illustration to the first page is by Frederick Carter.
