NO. 40 OF 450 COPIES SIGNED BY THE ILLUSTRATOR, Oblong folio, pp. [ii], 63, [1]. Original vellum boards, front board lettered in gilt direct, central colour-printed oval onlay bordered by triple gilt rules, spine lettered direct in gilt, rear board blocked centrally in gilt, edges gilt. Binding a little soiled, cloth ties lost. Numbered and signed in ink to the limitation leaf.

The deluxe variant of this illustrated collection of traditional nursery rhymes, illustrated in watercolour by the Danish artist Henriette Willebeek Le Mair (1889-1966) and numbered and signed by her. Of the 450 numbered and signed copies, 150 were reserved for the American market.
