Later calf, boards bordered with gilt and blind rules, marbled edges and endpapers. Somewhat foxed and toned (the latter particulary in vol. 5), a few small stains and edge-tears. Rebacked in a slightly different shade preserving old labels, new spines divided by raised bands between gilt rules, small central gilt tools, old leather rather rubbed and scraped at joints, just some minor rubbing and marking elsewhere. Booklabels of E. J. Kennedy to pastedowns, older shelfmark label to flyleaf versos, gilt stamp of the Signet Library to boards.
