Description

ONE OF 250 COPIES, small 4to, pp. 81, [1]. Original paper wrappers, parchment dustjacket printed in black. Dustjacket lightly toned and a touch soiled, a little chipped to extremities.

Notes

A privately-printed reprint, edited by Jon MacNair, or a treatise on the sport of curling first published by H. Crawford of Kilmarnock under the title 'A Descriptive and Historical Sketch of Curling: Also, Rules, Practical Directions, Songs, Toasts, and a Glossary.' Contemporary advertisements record it as being printed on Dutch hand-made paper, and an advertisement printed in 1884 advised that stocks were nearly exhausted.
