NO 20 OF 162 COPIES, 8vo, pp. [ii], vi, 160. Mostly unopened in original green boards, printed paper label to spine. Some scattered spotting. Label a little rubbed, spine somewhat toned. Bookplate of James Lumsden, Arden to pastedown, modern embossed ownership stamp to flyleaf, numbered and initialled in ink to limitation-page, original purchase receipt dated Jan 21st 1885 folded and loosely inserted.

A limited reprint of two rare 18th-century works on the Northern Isles, each recorded in their first edition by ESTC in just 2 locations. This copy retains its original purchase receipt from 'William Brown, antiquarian and fine art bookseller, and publisher' and is from the collection of James Lumsden (1851-1911), publisher in the firm of J. Lumsden and Son.
