The second stand-alone printing of this portion of the intended major work to which the better-known 'Prelude' is the prelude - left unfinished at Wordsworth's death in 1850, it was finally printed in 1888, a little while before the copyright to the Prelude would have expired. This more luxurious limited edition - only 50 copies - followed three years later.
