Notes

Ruddiman's reprint, praised by Dibdin as 'desirable... as well on the score of accuracy as of rarity' (I p. 546) of George Buchanan's metrical translations of two of Euripides' plays, alongside the ancient Greek originals. Buchanan's translations were first performed in the 1540s and saw print in the 1550s.
