12mo, pp. [ii], 255, [1], [iii]-iv, [18]. Title-page printed in red and black. Original blue boards backed in grey paper, printed paper label to spine. A little scattered spotting and soiling. Binding a little soiled, extremities worn and buped, spine creased, paper-covering chipped and partially-defective. Ownership inscription of M.J.H. Fergusson to flyleaf, indistinct inscription to title-page dated July 1832.

Notes

The second edition of Kelly's dictionary of proverbs, first published in 1721. In this copy, preserved in original boards, the introduction is bound to the rear, before the index and ads.
