8vo, pp. xiii, [iii], 126, [2], 177, [1], 118. Contemporary marbled and sprinkled sheep, spine divided by gilt rolls, edges sprinkled red. Lightly toned. Somewhat rubbed and scratched. Ownership inscriptions of John Logan, Dunse Academy, to front and rear flyleaves dated 1830, and again in pencil to bottom margin in index.

Notes

George Dunbar's (1777-1851) revision and expansion of this Greek school book begun by his predecessor as professor of Greek at Edinburgh, Andrew Dalzel (1742-1806). It consists of annotated extracts of Greek texts, with a lexicon to rear.
