Description

12mo, pp. 191, [1]. Contemporary unlettered sheep. Lightly soiled, a little creased, paper flaw to one leaf touching text (sense recoverable). Rubbed, joints starting, some wear to extremities, small areas of insect damage to leather. Ownership inscriptions of Anne Welsh of Mossfennan to endpapers, some dated 13th June 1827, that of Alexander Welsh to rear pastedown, remains of small label to front pastedown.

Notes

A scarce school book, the earliest edition recorded in Library Hub, which locates a single copy at NLS only. Library Hub and Worldcat record just one other edition, an 1835 printing at Strathclyde, and none further between them.
