Notes

A scarce German schoolbook of Greek, containing Plutarch on the education of children, orations of Isocrates, and the works of Hesiod and Theognis, as edited by Dresden teacher Christoph Kretzschmar. This copy, in its pretty pink boards, belonged to Thomas Coxhead Marsh (1780-1847), illegitimate son of Sir Thomas Coxhead, briefly MP for the rotten borough of Bramber in Sussex.
