Somewhat stained and rubbed, patches of loss to leather from insect damage. Various ownership marks and pen trials to endpapers and title-page, including remains of a wax seal and several instances of Wilson Gale, later bookplate and blind-stamp of the Ulverston Athenaeum lending library.
